Reports suggest that Chelsea have already agreed terms with a French attacking star to move to Stamford Bridge next season.
Arsenal And Spurs To Compete For Real Madrid Star's Signature?
With Christopher Nkunku having garnered many plaudits from the football fraternity over the past season and a bit, Chelsea are understood to be keen to be the elite European team that secures the in-demand Frenchman's signature.
Late last month, it was reported that the ex-Paris Saint-Germain forward had undergone a secret medical with the Blues towards the end of the transfer window, and now, according to The Athletic, Nkunku has signed a pre-contract with the London club.
Chelsea's new owners have wasted no time in flexing their financial muscle. Having already spent the most out of any club in Europe during the recent off-season transfer window, the west Londoners are now seemingly on the verge of completing the big-money signing of Nkunku for next season as well.
The same report suggests that the two-time European champions are intent on paying in excess of the 24-year-old's €60 million (R1 billion) release clause in order to fend off potential competitors when the clause kicks in at the end of the season.
