An English billionaire is reportedly interested in buying Premier League giants Manchester United.
According to Bloomberg, the Glazer family are now considering selling a minority stake in the club they've owned since 2005.
The report claims that there have been preliminary discussions about bringing in a new investor.
That new investor could be English billionaire Sir Jim Ratcliffe, whose spokesperson has confirmed he would be interested if the Premier League side were for sale.
"If something like this was possible, we would be interested in talking with a view to long-term ownership.
"This is not about the money that has been spent or not spent. Jim is looking at what can be done now and, knowing how important the club is to the city, it feels like the time is right for a reset."
The news will certainly please the ears of Red Devils fans, many of whom have expressed their desire for the Glazer family to leave the club in the past few years.
Ratcliffe was reportedly in the running to buy Chelsea earlier this year, but his £4.25 billion (R85.3 billion) bid was rejected before the consortium led by Todd Boehly officially took over a couple of months ago.
