Speaking to the media after announcing his final 23-man Bafana squad to face Liberia later this month, Hugo Broos has revealed why Sundowns breakout star, Cassius Mailula isn't ready for Europe yet.
The youngster has bagged 14 goals in 22 games for Masandawana this season, earning himself a call-up to the senior national team and a potential Footballer of the Year nomination.
Broos frankly stated that Mailula isn't ready for Europe yet and should stay another season at Mamelodi Sundowns.
Here's how the readers reacted to Broos' statement in the "Broos: Sundowns Sensation Not Ready For Europe!" story:
"As long he play's for Dunusa (Sundowns), he should forget about Europe. For more info ask Billiat, Dolly, Tau etc." says Khosilannete0.
"The boy can develop in Europe. If the chance comes in for him to move this year, he must take it. Yes, he may not go in and play as much as he is at Downs but I would still advise him to take the opportunity to go to Europe," says tshepang.
"I tend to agree with this coach. The player in question needs to be involved in creating moves, sharing the ball with others and shoot for goal. For now the player only scores the tap-ins. He needs more time to improve," says Soccer Intellectual.
"Mailula has a total of 23 matches played, 14 goals scored in total and 4 assists. Maybe I don't get you in your Mailula analysis," says makhause(2).
"I think the coach is right because the player is playing against weak opposition in the farmers league and I agree that he has been scoring tap-ins, and to be honest, I have not seen him taking players on and also, let him play against tough opposition and then he can take it from there.
"I'm just curious about how com Neo Maema was not included in Bafana team," says userThautha.

Mailula's teammate, Mothobi Mvala also earned a call-up to Broos' squad for his solid performances in central defence for Rulani Mokwena's outfit.
The "Where Broos Plans To Play In-Form Mvala" story, Broos reveals that he plans to keep Mvala at Centre Back and sees commenters expressing their concern for Mvala, who's received several head bandagers in a few fixtures this season.
"I have never seen a player gets so many head injuries like Mvala. Each and every game he gets bandaged on his head," says Rio Da Khosi.
"Thanks coach, Mvala with his height is playing well at the moment in that position. He has a lion heart but we will see him when we are playing international games, pressure, comfort on the ball awareness etc.
"Some players are good when playing for their teams but national or intentional, no where to be seen," says Bucs365.
