Starting XI: Arrows v Sundowns, Rulani Rings The Changes!

Mamelodi Sundowns will be eager to return to winning ways in the DStv Premiership when they travel to Golden Arrows on Wednesday evening.

DStv Premiership

Teams: Golden Arrows v Mamelodi Sundowns

Date: 12 April 2023

Venue: Princess Magogo Stadium

Time: 19h30

Sundowns extended their winless run to two matches without scoring since they were crowned champions, almost two weeks ago, after being held by Swallows on Sunday.

The Brazilians, crowned champions with seven matches to spare, are chasing their own record in the Premier Soccer League era of 71 points set under former coach Pitso Mosimane in the 2015/16 season and the four dropped points has left them with little margin for error to break that record.

The highest tally the Tshwane giants can reach is 76 points if they win all their remaining five matches.

As for Arrows, they boosted their chances of finishing in the top eight after collecting seven points in three matches following their narrow 1-0 win over Richards Bay this past weekend.

Abafana Bes'thende are lying seventh on the table and will be looking to cement their spot in the top half of the log, with six teams below them separated by only four points.

Sundowns edged the first round encounter between the sides 2-1 courtesy of goals by Peter Shalulile and an own goal by Siyavuya Ndlovu that cancelled out an equaliser for Arrows by Pule Mmodi in September last year.
