Arsenal gear up to host Atletico Madrid in the first leg of the semi-final of the UEFA Europa League. The Gunners will be hoping to secure a victory in their backyard and try to make sure that their opponents do not get an away goal, however Atletico are a tough team to handle and will be a handful for Arsene Wenger's charges.

Kaizer Chiefs have had a tough week, resulting in two losses in both cup and league competitions. However, they face an incredible Maritzburg United side which does not make it any easier for the Naturena-based club. These two teams will go toe-to-toe on Saturday, April 28.

League Rankings: Arsenal 6th (EPL) Atletico 2nd (LaLiga)

Useful facts: The Gunners are out to send Arsene Wenger off on a high note, as they get closer to securing what could be their only domestic cup this season. Wenger, who announced his exit after 22 years in charge of the London side last Friday, is in for a tough challenge as his side face one of the strongest European teams on Thursday evening in the first leg of the Europa Cup semi-finals. Meanwhile, Diego Simeone will hope Antoine Griezmann will have fully recovered ahead of this encounter, having suffered a hamstring injury against Sporting CP last week. The two sides have met only once previously in a friendly, and Arsenal claimed the bragging rights with a 2-1 win in 2009.

Kaizer Chiefs v Maritzburg United (Premier Soccer League)

Match 4 Soccer 6 Pool 28 April S6 V3 P1

League Rankings: Chiefs 4th Maritzburg 3rd

Useful facts: It's hard times for Amakhosi, whose head coach, Steve Komphela, resigned last Saturday following their Nedbank Cup exit at the hands of Free State Stars. The Glamour Boys are looking to bounce back to winning ways having failed to secure a win in three consecutive games across all competitions. The Soweto giants will face an in-form Maritzburg who are in high spirit following their progression to the Nedbank Cup final for the first time in their history. Although both teams are out of the title race, there's still a few points and bragging rights to play for. Chiefs defeated Maritzburg 2-0 in the previous meeting between the two teams in the first round of the season.
