"It's a move that Chiefs are contemplating working on. The Chiefs scouts know Maseko very well and they know what he could bring to the team and that's why they are enquiring about him. For now, it's still early to say what will happen but what I can tell you is that they are seriously looking into that," the Siya source stated.
A second insider further revealed that even before Maseko joined Sundowns, Chiefs were interested in him but things didn't work out at the time.
"Let me tell you that Chiefs wanted Maseko before he even joined Sundowns but you know how things work in football. But since he is not playing regularly now at Sundowns there is a chance that Chiefs could get him this time around. They are working on that, " the second source told the Siya crew.

In January his former club SuperSport United were reportedly interested to have him on loan but the temporary move didn't work out.
The 21-year-old was a regular at SuperSport in the 2022/23 season where he played most games but since joining Sundowns after that, he has not featured as much as he would have hoped. Though, he has represented Bafana Bafana in this period.
Soccer Laduma contacted Chiefs for comment on the issue but there was no response at the time of publishing this story.
