Mamelodi Sundowns are believed to be extending the contract of one of their coaches, according to insiders privy to information.
Michael Loftman joined the Brazilians a year ago as their set-piece coach and is now expected to sign a new contract, this time as an assistant coach, the Siya crew understands.

Loftman has already been serving in this new role since previous coach Steve Komphela left for Moroka Swallows at the time (he is now at Golden Arrows).
Siya sources have indicated how the club is aware of the significant difference between a set-piece coach and an assistant coach, and so the new contract will make this role and his duties clear.
"He was working on his contract as a set-piece specialist but the new contract will be him as an assistant coach. You see if you are just a set-piece coach you don't sit on the bench but as an assistant coach you sit with the other coaches on the bench which comes with its own benefits," said the Siya source.
"It's actually a two-year contract on top of the two years he signed as a set-piece coach, meaning now his contract is expected to run until June 2027. It's much better compared to the first one and gives him more power than just being a coach of set-pieces though he will still continue helping in that department," the source observed.
A second Siya source added how Loftman's working relationship with head coach Rulani Mokwena is key to his progress at Sundowns.
"You know they worked together at Orlando Pirates and they know each other better. Actually coach Rulani wanted him because he knows what he is capable of doing as his right hand man. So, he asked him to be moved from a set-piece coach to assistant coach.
"Now, with this new contract it gives them and the team more time to work together and improve the team. I think it's good for the club," the source told Soccer Laduma.
Apart from Pirates (match analyst), Loftman has worked for Venda Football Academy (manager), the Egypt national team (performance manager), Lommel SK (assistant manager) and also Lusaka Dynamos (manager) in Zambia.
Soccer Laduma contacted Sundowns and the club decided not to comment on this story.
