Insiders have now indicated that Dutch giants Ajax Amsterdam are among the clubs interested in the youth international.
"Yes, one of the teams who had their scouts in Morocco and were impressed and enquired about Emile is Ajax Amsterdam. They watched almost all the games South Africa played at the Under-17 Afcon tournament and they are believed to have been very happy with him and his overall performance in Morocco," the insider told the Siya crew.
In addition to Ajax, more European interest appears to be growing. A second insider disclosed that several teams from Holland and Belgium are also monitoring the young midfielder.

"There are several teams both in Holland and Belgium which have shown interest in him. For now the known one is Ajax but they are not the only ones. The boy is doing well for himself and things look promising as far as moving to Europe is concerned. It's just a matter of time before it happens," the second insider underlined.
Cape Town City owner and CEO John Comitis, when reached for comment, confirmed the European interest but declined to reveal specific club names at this stage.
Witbooi’s potential move to Europe is seen as a significant step in his young career, with the midfielder already making big strides in both club and junior international football.
