Davids's side ran out 1-0 winners in the first leg in Zanzibar and now attention turns to the second leg clash in Durban on Sunday 27 April.
Despite the win, the former Maritzburg United captain was not too pleased with his sides' performance and felt they deserved more from the game.
According to IPP Media, the South African coach outlined his game plan for the second leg and set a clear objective to attack Stellenbosch early.
"We’ve laid the foundation, but the house isn’t built yet,” Davids said. "We’re going into the second leg with only one objective; get an early goal and finish the job. We will not play defensively. We will not play with fear. We are not going there to settle for a draw. We want to win,” the ex-Pirates coach added.
The former Maritzburg United coach acknowledged the talent within the Betway Premiership side and said an early goal was key to upset the hosts.
"We know Stellenbosch is a youthful team, very fast, but they struggle when pressed intensely,” the Capetonian native said.

“They crack under pressure, and that’s what we want to capitalize on. We’re not giving them time to organize we’re going there to attack," he added.
