Al Ahly head coach Marcel Koller will have one eye on a record held by South African coach Pitso Mosimane ahead of the CAF Champions League semi-finals.

Koller's side will face Mamelodi Sundowns in the CAF Champions League semi-final second leg on Friday night in Cairo after a 0-0 draw in the first leg in South Africa.
A win for Al Ahly would be significant for the Swiss coach as he looks to equal an impressive record with the Red Devils, currently held by two former coaches.
Egyptian publication Masrawy reported that Koller would become just the third Al Ahly coach to lead the Red Giant to the continental final in three consecutive seasons.
The first coach to do so was Manuel Jose, who led the Club of Patriotism to four consecutive finals between 2005 and 2008, only failing to win in 2006.
South African coach Pitso Mosimane followed suit when he led the Egyptians to three consecutive finals in 2020, 2021, and 2022, winning the former two.
Koller will stand alone if he wins the 2025 competition as he would become the first Al Ahly coach to win three consecutive CAF Champions League competitions.

However, the Swiss coach would first need to overcome Masandawana, a team he has failed to beat in his previous five games as Al Ahly boss, with three draws and two defeats.
