Davids is once again back in the head coach role, which he last occupied when he was in charge of Maritzburg United during the 2022/23 season.
Simba missed out on the Tanzanian Premier League title last season after finishing third, which will see the side compete in the CAF Confederation Cup.
Davids becomes Simba's fourth head coach in the past year, following the departures of Abdelhak Benchikha, Dani Cadena, Robertinho.
