With the SAFA National Executive Committee (NEC) recently approving the implementation of coaching standards beginning in the 2024/25 PSL season – the Siya crew looks at the 16 PSL coaches and their qualifications.
As per the incoming rules, a coach will be required to have at least a CAF A Licence or a UEFA Pro Licence.

In addition to having a minimum of five years as a professional head coach, coaches must have also won a trophy in the last seven years of coaching.
In terms of the current landscape, the Premiership has seven Pro licenses, or an equivalent thereof. There are three UEFA A license holders.
Meanwhile two coaches possess CAF D and C licenses.
