After spending the previous pre-season in Spain, Orlando Pirates are understood to be set to change their next training destination to a different European country for the upcoming off-season.
Sources close to the club have indicated that plans to hold a pre-season camp in Germany have been drafted, but not finalised yet.

"What I know is that the club is apparently believed to be changing their pre-season training camp from Spain to Germany. For now almost all the logistics for the trip to Germany is as good as done and all the involved parties are believed to have agreed on this pre-season camp in Germany," the Siya source stated.
A second insider stated that the new coach, expected to replace outgoing head coach Jose Riveiro, will likely join the team in Germany. This will provide an opportunity for the coach to establish relationships with the players and the technical team ahead of the new season.
"At that time (of the tour) they are believed to have the new coach in, when they are going to Germany. They want to use that time to build a bond between the new coach, the technical team and the players to get ready for next season," the second source told the Siya crew.

The Buccaneers have previously held their pre-season training camps in Spain, the home country of their current coach Riveiro, who is set to depart at the end of the season.
Soccer Laduma contacted Pirates for comment but the club had not responded by the time this report was published.
The move to Germany is seen as part of the club's ongoing efforts to optimise preparation for the next campaign and integrate their incoming head coach into the team dynamics.
