Orlando Pirates coach Jose Riveiro will reach a huge milestone when he leads his club in the Betway Premiership against Richards Bay at Orlando Stadium tonight.
The Spaniard, who has endeared himself to the Bucs faithful in the almost two-and-a-half years he has been in the PSL, is currently sitting on 99 matches in charge of the Soweto giants and will be in the hot seat for the 100th time this evening.

Riveiro is arguably the most successful coach the Buccaneers have had in the PSL era, winning five knockout competitions since arriving at the club. Now in his third season, he is determined to get his hands on the Premiership title, which would put him head and shoulders above the rest.
In 2022/23, his first season, Riveiro took charge of 39 matches in all competitions for the Buccaneers, winning the MTN8 and Nedbank Cup.
The following season, he was in charge of 45 in all competitions, including the four in the CAF Champions League. This season, he has been in the hot seat for 15 matches in all competitions and number 16 will be of so much importance to him because it's the one that takes him to a century for the Soweto giants.

Of the 99 matches, 66 of them have been in the league and 33 in knockout competitions. In the 66 league matches, the Buccaneers have won 36 times, lost 16 and drawn 14.
Pirates are the only club with a 100 percent record in the Premiership this season and would no doubt want to hold onto that record for as long as possible.
