Chippa United head coach Kurt Lentjies felt the early red card did disrupt their plans against Mamelodi Sundowns, but he was impressed with the side's response.
The Chilli Boys missed the chance to pull six points clear of the relegation zone after suffering a 2-0 defeat at Loftus Versfeld.
"The game just swung 25 minutes after the red-card, it throws every plan that you can think of out of the window but okay what can we do?" Lentjies told SuperSport after the game..
"I can't ask for more than what the boys have given. I'm very proud of them, obviously the result is not what we wanted okay ja onto the next one.
"It was coming [the goal], we knew how to attack and the boys did everything that was asked from them, even when were playing with ten men, to show the characteristics, how strong we are.
"But I'm excited for the boys, I'm excited for the next 12 games, they should keep their heads up, I'm proud of them, I couldn't ask for more, let's see how it goes.
"Ja [the hunger] throughout the game, I told the guys 'Leave everything on the field, we're not in control of results but what we can control is the attitude' so we dedicate our work to God in everything that we do, we give him glory.
"That's why ten men on the field of play they still give everything. Like I said I can't ask for more than that."
