Cape Town City head coach, Benni McCarthy revealed that he does not want to dwell on any rivalry between himself and SuperSport United's head Coach Eric Tinkler, but is rather focused on his preparing his team for Saturday's encounter.

City will lock horns with SuperSport at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban on Saturday, October 14 in the final of the 2017 edition of the MTN8 competition.
Speaking at a MTN8 press conference, the City head coach revealed that he is concerned about the alleged rivalry between himself and Tinkler, as his focus lies on how his team prepares to physically match the Tshwane giants on Saturday.

"My focus is not on Eric, it is on my team and how we prepare and focus and what we have to do at the end of the day. We have to match them physically, we have to be as tough as them and play with a lot of heart," McCarthy told the media.
"I know we've got enough quality on our side, we've got players who can win you games, so that is where I concentrate my focus on, not too much bothered on Eric or SuperSport, we just know the team we are going to be up against and it is not going to be easy I can tell you that. And that is as much as I can say really," he added.
