"I'm already having headaches the last couple of days because we've got more than 18 so just to even select the 18-man squad for this final is a problem and some people are going to be disappointed which is rightfully so, but I am having difficulties choosing 18 players, let alone the 11 players deserve to go on that pitch and fight for their teammates, coaches and for their fans and for the club owners," McCarthy said yesterday.
"So I am having a bit of a torrid time selecting 18 players. I guess come Friday, hopefully, I make positive decisions. But, the players have stepped up and yeah it is good that they are fighting and keeping each other on their toes," he added.
