Not many teams can boast that Sundowns have just a 30% win ratio against them.
However, Wydad have proven to be a stern test for Sundowns since their rivalry started back in 2017 under then coach, Pitso Mosimane.
The two sides have squared off on 10 occasions in the last six years with the Moroccan outfit boasting the better head-to-head record against Sundowns with four wins, while Sundowns have managed three wins, the latest of which came in 2020.
Three of the matches ended in stalemates.
Speaking ahead of the match, Mokwena opened up on the test that awaits them at what he expects to be a hostile environment when the two teams face off this Saturday.
"We are expecting a tough game and a hostile crowd and a lot of difficulty They are a good team, and they have a new coach as you have seen. But they should also expect a good team," he told journalists after their win against Marumo Gallants.
"[They should expect] a team that will come there and be brave to play, we just have to enjoy the opportunity and the occasion," he said.
The clash gets underway at 21:00 at the Stade Mohammed V Stadium.
