As Kaizer Chiefs prepare for the most crucial part of their season, the squad is being put through a serious test as player availability becomes a big concern for head coach Nasreddine Nabi.
The Soweto giants are in a battle to seal a place in the top eight and still have a Nedbank Cup final date with rivals Orlando Pirates coming up on May 10.

Most of Chiefs' problems at the moment are in defence. Amakhosi have already had to do without Inacio Miguel, Reeve Frosler and Rushwin Dortley in recent weeks and the knock sustained by Dillan Solomons against Chippa United over the weekend will no doubt be a concern.
Dortley and Frosler are expected to be out for the rest of the season, so the medical team will be working tirelessly to get some of the other players back to give Nabi more options when it comes to selection in the final few weeks of the campaign.

Mfundo Vilakazi has travelled with the national under-20 team for the Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt, so they cannot call on him. He is not going to be part of the Nedbank Cup final matchday squad, as the national team will be playing their final group match against Zambia the day before the Nedbank Cup final.
With two Soweto Derbies against Pirates coming up, Nabi's squad depth and quality will certainly be put to the test.
