The mystery around his absence only deepened, as many expected the young goalkeeper to feature more regularly in matchday squads.
However, insiders close to the situation have now provided crucial clarity. Molefe reportedly underwent surgery to correct slipped discs in his back, in addition to addressing complications involving his spinal cord.
