Kaizer Chiefs have had a challenging start to the Premiership season and goalkeeper Bruce Bvuma has outlined that the team plans to focus on the present.

Despite only securing four wins this campaign, Bvuma, speaking to journalists during a media day at the Kaizer Chiefs Village in Naturena, said that the focus is not the struggles of the past and that the team is motivated to do better.
"No. What happened last season is not playing in our minds. Things are different this season. We have a different technical team and when we lose a game we have a meeting and we talk about it and how we can move forward. The same when we win a game we have a meeting and talk about it to move forward. We get the motivation from the fact that we can see that there is hope that we can do better. We are working on that," Bvuma said.

On the team's struggle to keep clean sheets, having recorded only one in 10 matches so far, Bvuma pointed out that it's a collective issue.
"You cannot say it's the goalkeepers' problem or the defenders' problem. It's a team problem and we have to work on it as a team and make sure that we avoid conceding the way we have been conceding. And you know if we keep clean sheets it becomes easy for us to win games. So we are working on that as a team to make sure we improve our results," Bvuma observed.
Chiefs will face Stellenbosch FC at FNB Stadium at 18:30, marking only their second league match at the venue this season, having previously losing 2-1 to Mamelodi Sundowns there.
