The story
The Orlando Pirates and Bafana Bafana sensation remains firmly in the spotlight for his dazzling performances for both club and country, as well as his recent run of awards including the GQ Sportsperson of the Year accolade.
The Sharpeville-bred baller is destined for greatness if his first season and a half of professional football is anything to go by, with the 20-year-old living a dream that was once his father's, Sechaba.
Although he played professional football, representing lower rank clubs like Tembu Royals over a decade ago, Sechaba didn't quite make it to top flight football in this country.
In a sit down with Andile Ncube on SABC's Sport @ 10, Sechaba revealed that he realised how special his son is at football when he was in his early teens.
"It was during Covid," said Sechaba on when he took notice of his Rele's talent, stating that he was "shocked" by how good he'd become since watching him in primary school.
