The story

PUMA has unveiled their first-ever Portugal kits, featuring both Home and Away jerseys for the men's and women's teams.

These bespoke jerseys showcase unique designs for each team, with both Home and Away kits reimagining the Quinas emblem from Portugal's national coat of arms.

The designs not only honour Portugal's rich football legacy but also paves the way for the next generation to shine. As PUMA puts it, the best way to honour heroes is not to dwell on history but to create history.

In Portugal, the phrase "por amor à camisola" (for the love of the jersey) represents passion, dedication, and love for the team.

The new Home kit reflects this sentiment, with the men's jersey featuring a classic red base accented with gold and green detailing and a crew neck collar.

The women's jersey follows with a red base, complemented by green, mint, and black detailing, as well as a custom crew neck collar. Both jerseys feature a custom graphic of the Quinas emblem, symbolising Portugal's football heritage.

Portugal's football spirit is alive and well, and the new Away kit brings a futuristic interpretation of the Quinas emblem, incorporating bold colors and graphics that celebrate Portugal's evolving football culture.

The men's Away jersey is designed with a white base and features red and green graphics with a black crew neck collar, while the women's version offers a mint base with black, red, and green graphics, also with a black collar.

PUMA's partnership with the Federação Portuguesa de Futebol (FPF) marks the conclusion of Portugal's 28-year relationship with its previous technical sponsor, Nike, during which 16 home and away kits were produced.

Marco Mueller, PUMA's Senior Director of Product Line Management for Performance Apparel, noted, "We are excited to present the first-ever PUMA Portugal Home and Away kits for both the men's and women's teams.

"Our partnership with one of the world's most exciting national teams marks the beginning of a new era for Portuguese football, bringing custom products that resonate with Portugal's passion, culture, and history."

Nuno Moura, FPF's Chief Marketing Commercial Officer, added, "This collection represents the start of an exciting new era for FPF and our partnership with PUMA.

"These jerseys honour Portugal's footballing heritage while embracing the passion and excellence that define us. Designed to inspire, they pay tribute to our past while promising a bright future for our team."

The new Home and Away kits will be available in both Authentic and Replica versions. The men's and women's Home and Away kits will be available starting 17 January 2025, at PUMA.com, PUMA Retail stores, Sportsmans Warehouse, Totalsports, and Studio 88. Prices are R1499 for adult sizes and R1199 for junior sizes.
