Engen Knockout Challenge graduate coach Thabo Senong has been handpicked by none other than Arsene Wenger to take up an exciting new role at world football governing body FIFA.

Engen has given rise to a number of talents to go on and flourish in their respective careers. From players, to coaches, to administrators, and even those who work in the background, the number of individuals whose careers have catapulted after featuring in the tournament which has entered its 22nd year of existence.
Senong was last on the books of Tanzanian side Singida Fountain Gate, where he served as an assistant coach.
However, the 44-year-old will be soaring to new heights as he takes on the next chapter of his illustrious career, where he has worked at teams such as Orlando Pirates, Mamelodi Sundowns, Sekhukhune United, SAFA as well as the Lesotho national football team.
Earlier this week, Senong confirmed to the media that he would be joining FIFA, and will be based in Malawi, as part of a technical development scheme headed up by all-time coaching great Arsene Wenger who serves as the Chief of Global Development at FIFA.
"I've just joined FIFA in August as a FIFA talent coach, which is a program that falls under the technical development scheme, which is the idea pioneered by the Chief of Global Development at FIFA, coach Arsene Wenger," he told members of the media at the Engen Champ of Champs draw in Johannesburg.

"He wants to improve countries that are struggling and close the gap between developing countries and the leading nations in football," he added.
