The South African Football Association has confirmed Mzansi's match officials who have been assigned to officiate in CAF matches next weekend.
As confirmed by SAFA, Victor Gomes has been tasked with officiating in the CAF Confederation Cup match for Plateau United of Nigeria and Algeria's USM Alger.

Gomes will be assisted by Johannes Moshidi and Athenkosi Ndongeni, while Thando Ndzandzeka will be the fourth official in that match.
"Four South African officials have been assigned by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) to officiate a tricky Confed Cup match between Plateau United of Nigeria and Algeria's USM Alger. The two sides meet in the second round of the CAF Confederations Cup on Saturday, 7 April in a fixture that CAF says require high quality officiating. The two clubs are vying for a place in the group stages of the competition," SAFA confirmed on their official website.
"South Africa's trusted referee, Victor Gomes who is no stranger to African football having officiated in a number of continental matches, will be in charge of the fixture and will be assisted by his equally experienced and qualified compatriots, Johannes Moshidi and Athenkosi Ndongeni. Thando Ndzandzeka will be the match's fourth official with the match commissioner being Marceli Djiadeu of Cameroon," SAFA confirmed.

"The trust bestowed upon SAFA by CAF is (a) testament (to) the continuous hard work being put in by the Association. Refereeing is a critical component of the game that requires constant learning and improvement and as the Association, we strive to be the best exporters of quality referees on the continent," SAFA's Technical Committee Chairperson, Natasha Tsichlas has been quoted as saying.
