Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos has been forced into making another change to his squad for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
South Africa take on Lesotho and Benin, in their next two qualifiers, and Broos had confirmed on Monday that Ndamulelo Maphangule has replaced Orlando Pirates midfielder Patrick Maswanganyi who is out with an injury.

Broos will now be without Mamelodi Sundowns left back Aubrey Modiba, who has been a key member of the team since the Belgian took over as head coach. Modiba's wife has given birth and the player has been given time to spend with his family during this period.
In Modiba's place, Sekhukhune United left back Vuyo Letlapa has been called-up to join the squad. Letlapa joined Babina Noko before the start of this season and has been one of their most consistent performers.
He joined Sekhukhune from Jomo Cosmos in the ABC Motsepe League and will now have an opportunity to fight for a place in the starting line-up with Stellenbosch FC's Fawaaz Basadien.

Letlapa is highly rated by his former coach Jomo Sono and has shown he is capable of rising to the occasion when called upon at club level, so now he has a chance to show what he can do at international level. Soccer Laduma previously reported how the player's performances are believed to have attracted attention from the big three clubs in South African football, Kaizer Chiefs, Sundowns and Orlando Pirates. His call-up will certainly raise his value.
Bafana take on Lesotho at Peter Mokaba Stadium on Friday and will then travel to the Ivory Coast to take on Benin four days later.
