In a desperate attempt to save the Premier League season from the fallout of the coronavirus, a drastic proposal has been made for the campaign to be finished in China.
With the 2019/20 EPL season currently enduring a coronavirus-enforced suspension, time is running out for the campaign to be properly completed, and league and club officials alike are scrambling to find a solution.
It has now been revealed that, in a desperate attempt to save the season from being cancelled, a Premier League side has proposed that it be completed in China, despite the nation being the country of origin of the virus.
China has seemingly turned the corner on the disease, however, and could resume football activities before its European counterparts, but not all EPL clubs are in agreement that moving the league season to Asia is a viable solution.
"It just doesn't make any sense. It is a crazy idea and I think it will get firmly rejected. If we were to pick up the Premier League and move it to another part of the world right now, we'd get absolutely slaughtered.
"Somebody accused us the other day of being in a bubble. I feel a little bit like they are right at the moment – even though I am not, I can see why people think we are."
