Former Kaizer Chiefs defender, Godfrey Walusimbi, has been named in Uganda's final squad for the Africa Cup of Nations, this despite the player being unattached to a club.

Uganda will be in a tough group consisting of hosts Egypt, as well as Democratic Republic of the Congo and Zimbabwe respectively.
The Cranes are scheduled to get their 2019 AFCON campaign underway with a match against DR Congo on June 22.

Walusimbi, who has been without a club since he parted ways with Chiefs in January, has been named in head coach Sebastien Desabre's final 23-man squad for the AFCON, alongside with PSL stars Denis Onyango and Allan Kateregga from Mamelodi Sundowns and Maritzburg United respectively, among other players.
