In September 2022, the Blues' UEFA Champions League 1-0 defeat to Dinamo Zagreb preceded the end of the German tactician's reign at Stamford Bridge.
The loss to the Croats was Chelsea's third in five games across all competitions, with Tuchel being relieved of his duties the very next day, but it seems it could be yet another Champions League tie that sees him make his way back into the managerial hot seat.
According to Relevo, Paris Saint-Germain's defeat to Bayern Munich on Wednesday has prompted disillusion with Christophe Galtier's project in Paris, and the French giants are now strongly considering rehiring Tuchel to man their ship.
President Nasser Al-Khelaifi is reportedly set to hold an emergency meeting with other members of the PSG hierarchy to discuss Galtier's future, and while the team itself is currently eight points clear at the top of Ligue 1, their dominant league form may not be enough for the 56-year-old to avoid the sack.
In a post-match press conference on Wednesday night, Galtier himself admitted he is unsure about his future at the club following the European elimination.
It is claimed that Tuchel is still admired among Les Parisiens' leadership and playing staff, and his return now appears likely should PSG decide to fire their current manager in the coming days or weeks.

A breakdown in relationship between the German tactician and former PSG sporting director Leonardo was said to be the reason for Tuchel's initial Parc des Prince exit in 2020.
The Brazilian executive was replaced by Luis Campos at the beginning of this season, but the Portuguese could also soon be on his way out of the French capital, with Al-Khelaifi believed to be particularly unimpressed with the way he handled the January transfer window.
