With Paul Pogba now free to resume his professional football career, France coach Didier Deschamps has revealed that they are engaging with the player.
This week, Pogba completed an 18-month ban from football due to doping. The Frenchman was initially handed a four-year ban in March 2024 after he tested positive for an illegal substance in August 2023 while playing for Juventus.

The 2018 FIFA World Cup winner appealed the decision, stating that he had not knowingly consumed the banned substance, which led to the reduced 18-month punishment.
Now officially free to resume his career and join the club of his choice, Pogba is said to be exploring his options while he continues to work on his fitness.
Notably, his contract with Juventus was terminated in November 2024 by mutual agreement, and he remains a free agent.
Understandably, he won't be part of France's latest squad for the upcoming international break, and the Les Bleus head coach was asked whether Pogba could one day wear the national team jersey again.
"He's supposed to be able to play again, but he doesn't have a club," Deschamps told reporters, according to Goal.
"We're talking, and I won't tell you the details.
"Yes, he has the ability and the mentality to return to the highest level. It won't happen overnight, but for the moment, he hasn't made a decision. We'll see."
In recent months, Pogba has been linked with a host of potential moves, with interest from Ligue 1, Major League Soccer, Saudi Arabia, and Brazil having been mooted in the press.
