The Tanzanian Premier League Board (TPLB) Information Officer Karim Boimanda has reportedly said it would revise the fixture schedule to accommodate Simba's historic qualification while also ensuring the league concludes timeously, IPP Media reported.
"Our Premier League’s planning department will sit down and re-arrange the schedule," Boimanda said.
"The aim is to provide space for Simba to prepare for the two important final matches both away and home while ensuring the league ends at the scheduled time,” the officer added.
Simba has played five games less than the rest of the league, and the TPLB put plans in place for the Msimbazi giants to play their outstanding games.
Davids' team was set to play league games against Mashujaa FC on 2 May, JKT Tanzania on 5 May, Pamba Jiji on 8 May, and KMC FC on 11 May.
They were also scheduled to face Singida Black Stars o 14 May, KenGold FC on 21 May, before concluding their season against Kagera Sugar on 25 May.
The Giants also have to play a postponed game against Young Africans that still needs to be rescheduled.
The team's Federation Cup semi-final first leg was also scheduled for 17 May.
It has been reported that the TPLB needs to align its schedule with the Confederation of African Football's (CAF) directive that the domestic season must conclude before 1 June.
"Everything will become clearer once our department finalizes the revised schedule,” Boimanda explained.
