Koller has enjoyed great success with Al Ahly and won 11 trophies since joining the side ahead of the 2022/23 season.
The head coach has a chance to bring more silverware to the club this season as the side is currently in the semi-finals of the CAF Champions League and sits second in the Egyptian Premier League.
However, despite his success and achievements, he has come under fire and he was at risk of leaving the club before the FIFA Club World Cup.
Egyptian publication Sport El Watana reported that an Al Ahly source told journalist Karim Ramzy that the club had not yet decided on Koller's future.
Koller is expected to stay with the Red Devils until the Club World Cup, regardless of performances during the CAF Champions League.
The source said the Swiss coach would continue with the club next season if the team performed well during the Club World Cup.

"An Al Ahly official told me that if Koller delivers outstanding results at the Club World Cup, he will continue with the team next season, especially since the contract includes a clause that allows for a one-season renewal if both parties agree," Ramzy said.
