The story
Just a day after being awarded with the Betway Premiership Player of the Month award for March, Brazilian star Lucas Ribeiro scored his 14th league goal of the season in Sundowns' 1-1 draw against Golden Arrows last Wednesday.
The 26-year-old attacker's was heavily cheered on by the Masandawana supporters at the Mpumalanga Stadium in Hammersdale, with his equaliser being a sublime Panenka-style penalty.
Although Ribeiro and his teammates would've left Durban disappointed with the dropped points against Manqoba Mngqithi's chargers, the in-form forward captured the heart of a young fan who came to witness him live in action.
A toddler screaming Ribeiro's name from the stands during the fixture went viral on TikTok, resulting in the player responding to it on his Instagram story.
The Sundowns star stated that he hopes to one day meet the passionate young fan and thanked him for the adoration he showed.
