With Mohamed Salah and Liverpool reportedly still deadlocked over an extension, a new frontrunner has emerged as a likely destination for the Egyptian.

As the midseason transfer window draws to a close, the Reds are no closer to tying down their talisman to a long-term contract.
Salah is currently in the final months of his existing deal with the Merseyside outfit, and the 32-year-old has been open about the possibility that this could be his last season at Anfield.
It is understood that the Premier League table-toppers are trying their utmost to extend Salah's contract, but so far, the parties are yet to come to an agreement over a deal.
This has paved the way for other clubs to try and convince the three-time English top-flight Golden Boot winner to leave. According to The Telegraph, the club most likely to sign Salah should he decide to leave Liverpool is Saudi Arabian champions Al Hilal.
Earlier this week, the Blue Wave confirmed that they had parted ways with their superstar acquisition from last season in the form of Neymar. This has not only freed up a foreign spot in their squad but, more importantly, funds.
The same report claims that the Riyadh-based institution wants to recruit a marquee signing ahead of the FIFA Club World Cup later this year. As the sole representative from Saudi Arabia, they want to have a strong tournament, and they believe the only way to achieve this is by assembling a highly competitive squad.

Al Hilal already have a few former Premier League players on their books, such as Aleksandar Mitrovic, Ruben Neves, and Joao Cancelo, so perhaps Salah could be the latest addition.
