The story
Supporters of Durban-based outfit, Golden Arrows are in for a treat after the club unveiled special kit that honours their legends and ushers in a new era for them off the field.
Last week, Arrows announced the Up Back Through Podcast, a players-run podcast where football, lifestyle and culture will intersect.
The podcast promises to see ballers sharing untold stories, in a "By The players, for the players" approach and this new jersey also celebrates the launch of his media venture by Abafana Bes'thende.
"Our latest collection is a tribute to the Lamontville Golden Arrows legends who've shaped the game, blending sport, style, and history in one iconic garment," revealed Arrows in a shared Instagram post with the Up Back Through Podcast page.
The jersey comes with a green base colour, with geometric shapes in the detailing shown in a lighter shade of green. The jersey also features yellow hues on the sides and a matching wide collar for that vintage feel.
What stands out the most about this jersey is the player tributes, with black and white portraits of club legends such as current coach Mabhuti Khanyeza, Kagisho Dikgacoi and a tribute to Arrows' late founder, Mandla "Rocky" Madlala.
