After Nasreddine Nabi's men put on a show in their emphatic 4-0 win over SuperSport United in the Carling Knockout Cup, the club welcomed a German politician to the Kaizer Chiefs Village.
Minister of International Affairs and Sports of Lower Saxony, Germany, Daniela Behrens, was met by Chiefs marketing director, Jessica Motaung at the Village after receiving a tour of the FNB Stadium on Sunday.
As mentioned in a Chiefs press release on Monday, Minister Behrens' visit represents another key milestone in the Soweto giants' global outreach plans, building on their recent engagement with the Turkish Government via its Embassy in Pretoria, during the first team's July pre-season tour in Türkiye.
Jessica Motaung highlighted the significance of strengthening international relationships. "Our international strategy is crucial to growing the Kaizer Chiefs brand globally.
"We aim to establish meaningful partnerships that not only benefit the club but also contribute to the development of South African football, both at the community and corporate levels," noted Motaung in the press release.
Amakhosi's statement also revealed that Behrens expressed her admiration for the club's commitment to youth development during her tour, making similarities to the systems they have in Germany.
