With Wydad Athletic Club believed to be reviving their interest in Percy Tau, Al Ahly have reportedly made a decision on letting the winger join their continental rivals.

The Witbank native's future with the Red Devils has been a contentious issue in recent weeks.
Tau is entering the final year of his contract with the record African champions, but following the recently concluded 2023/24 Egyptian Premier League season, it seems as though the chiefs at the El Tetsh Stadium are not eager for him to see out the remainder of his current deal.
It is understood that the Club of the Century are keen to sign a new foreign striker, but with Tau currently occupying one of their non-native spots and rumoured to be insisting on being paid out the remaining $1.2 million (R21.2 million) on his contract if they want to part ways with him, that appears unlikely to happen at the moment.
Ahly may have, however, found a solution to this issue. News emerged earlier this week suggesting that Wydad are keen to reignite talks over a transfer for the forward and, according to Mobtada, the record African champions are willing to let Tau talk to Rulani Mokwena's side regarding a possible move.
Mokwena was one of Tau's coaches during his time in the Mamelodi Sundowns youth set-up, and it seems the Moroccan side's new head coach is keen on a reunion.

So far, it is believed that Ahly have not received what they feel is a suitable offer for the reigning CAF Men's Interclub Player of the Year, but the same report claims they would be open to letting Tau leave for Casablanca should Wydad place an official offer for the player.
