Percy Tau's insistence on being compensated in full for his release from Al Ahly is reportedly hindering the Egyptians from seeing out their transfer plans.

The Red Devils have been active in this transfer window, predominantly with outgoings, but with incomings too.
So far, the Club of the Century has welcomed Moroccan left-back Yahia Attiyat Allah and Qatari centre-back Yousef Aymen, both on loan, to the Cairo International Stadium.
The record African champions are now understood to be in the process of finalising terms on a transfer for another Moroccan player, Achraf Dari, and are believed to be looking to also acquire Tunisia international Mohamed Ali Ben Romdhane's services from Ferencvaros to further strengthen their squad.
While they are close to completing the transfer for the former Esperance de Tunis talisman, his integration into the Ahly squad could prove difficult should Tau stay at the club.
The Bafana Bafana winger is occupying a foreign quota spot within the team, which is why manager Marcel Koller is eager to part ways with the Witbank native in order to accommodate the arrival of Ben Romdhane.
According to Kooora, the north African outfit has been actively trying to part ways with the ex-Brighton Hove Albion star, but have so far not received offers they deem suitable and are not keen on paying out the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations bronze medallist the remaining $1.2 million (R21.3 million) left on his contract, something Tau is believed to be insisting on.

The same report claims that Ahly's Swiss tactician is also keen to acquire the services of a foreign striker too, but the Tau issue is making that potential pursuit difficult and, as a consequence, Ahly could sign another Palestinian forward, Omar Faraj, as they are not considered foreign players in the Egyptian Premier League.
