Former Mamelodi Sundowns manager Miguel Gamondi is unsure about whether or not he will still be the head coach of east African giants Young Africans come next season.

The Argentine succeeded Nasreddine Nabi in Dar es Salaam in July 2023, after the Tunisian had set a high bar by winning the Tanzanian Premier League as well as leading Yanga to the CAF Confederation Cup final.
Gamondi replaced him in the Yanga hot seat and continued the club's ascendancy as he also won the league title in emphatic fashion, with his side breaking the record for the most points recorded in a domestic campaign in a 30-game season in Tanzania, capturing their record-extending 30th championship by attaining 80 points.
This past weekend, the former Platinum Stars boss also won the Federation Cup after Yanga toppled Azam FC 6-5 on penalties.
Despite the team's stellar performances under his tutelage, there remains uncertainty over the former Masandawana boss' future, and he has revealed he is uncertain about whether or not he will be returning to the side in 2024/25.

"I need to think because my contract is ending today. We need to discuss. We will sit with the club and president to discuss and we will decide the future," Gamondi said, as per The Guardian Tanzania.
"I think Yanga needs to improve not only at the local level, but the goal of the president and the board is to be at a higher level in African competitions.
"Yanga is starting to make a name in African competition and I said not only Yanga but it is Tanzanian football. I think if the league continues improving infrastructures and competitions, the other clubs can grow up for better competition.
"It is good and beneficial for Tanzanian football. I repeat that, for Yanga to rise above this level, next season will be difficult."

The Olavarria native is understood to have signed a one-year deal at the Benjamin Mkapa National Stadium last year, so it remains to be seen where he will be coaching next season.
