The story
Siyabonga Ngezana enjoyed a successful debut campaign at FCSB in Romania after making the shock switch from the Glamour Boys at the start of the season.
"Sesa" has proven to be one of the most important members of the FCSB squad, helping them win their first title in almost a decade and putting on some key showings in the 21 SuperLiga matches he played.
His performances for the Romanian giants has not only brought him back into the Bafana Bafana fold, but also seen him reportedly attract some admirers in France's Ligue 1.
Speaking to Robert Marawa on 94.7's Marawa Sports Worldwide, Ngezana describe his move to Europe as a "dream come true" and moving to FCSB was an exciting prospect.
"I knew the first season was going to be hard. I knew it was not going to be easy. Thinking about winning the league? when I came here, one of the objectives for the team was to win it.
"When I arrived, they were also in a [trophy] drought, I come from a team that's experiencing a [trophy] drought in South Africa with Kaizer Chiefs not winning the title for many years and then coming to Romania to same thing... I though maybe, that I would have some pressure released and start my new life in a country, but these people are hungry for silverware," said Ngezana.
"Sesa" also mentioned that FCSB fans were sending him well-wishes when his move to the club was completed but quickly made it known that they want him to help them win trophies.
"My thoughts then was that it's going to be hard because I come from a pressure situation at Chiefs, and then now a big side in Romania. So, I thought it was going to be a hard season again, here we go, I need to hard to deal with this pressure and everything. But the good thing is, I'm used to the pressure now from Kaizer Chiefs, it turned out to be not so bad after all," added Ngezana.
After securing his first league title at FCSB, Ngezana was the talk of social media, not only for achieving a career-long goal of his but for how he celebrated the occassion.
