An adorable Jack Russell in Cape Town has gone viral on social media for its football skills!
A community paper jokingly dubbed it the "next Messi" and the doggo has drawn plenty of attention from fascinated locals, who go as far as recording the skilled pup.

Cape Town's new Messi?
In the area of Bloubergstrand in Cape Town, a 7-and-a-half-year-old female Jack Russell is the talk of the town with its unique football skills.
As reported by the TygerBurger community paper, with their story re-shared on News24's website, the cheeky Jack Russell named "Kolletjie" reportedly trained herself from the age of 3 to hold and balance a massive ball in the air without it touching the ground, talk about serious tekkers!
"She started doing tricks by herself when she was 3 years old, I bought her a soccer ball, but she destroyed it, and the same with the rugby ball," said proud owner Emil Beetge, who is a professional kite surfer.

Kolletjie shows off her footy skills with a giant tennis ball, balancing it on her head like a seasoned baller. Watch:
It was also reported that Kolletjie is garnering plenty of attention on social media after her owner uploaded videos on Facebook and TikTok.
His video shared on by TygerBurger on Facebook has already drawn over 45 thousand views in less than a day:
It seems that some dogs just have a natural feel for the beautiful game. In May, a playful dog interrupted a Chilean Primera Division football match to get a taste of the ball.
