Dutch midfielder Frenkie de Jong has reportedly been left disgusted by how he has been treated at Barcelona after the club attempted to force him out before the season started.
'Toure Is The Best Player I Ever Played With'
Since refusing to leave the Blaugrana in the previous transfer window, the 25-year-old has played a bit-part role in Xavi Hernandez's plans.
De Jong was heavily linked with a move to Manchester United before the window closed but stuck to his guns as he made it clear he would not be going anywhere.
The former Ajax Amsterdam midfielder has made just five starts in the 2022/23 campaign so far, and was left on the bench in both of the Blaugrana's recent Group C clashes against Inter Milan in the UEFA Champions League.
This reportedly made De Jong furious with head coach Xavi Hernandez, who has preferred the likes of Sergio Busquets, Gavi and Pedri to the Netherlands international.
It is suggested that the player believed he would play a more decisive role in the side this season, despite Barca's public attempt to sell him, but has seen his playing time become even more limited.

De Jong joined the Catalan giants from Ajax in 2019 and has since made 150 appearances for the club, contributing to 32 goals in all competitions.
