Lescott, who played a pivotal role in two league-winning City sides during his five-year stay at the club, chatted exclusively to Soccer Laduma about his successful time with the Manchester-based team, where he shared a dressing room with some high-profile players.
The likes of David Silva, Sergio Aguero and Vincent Kompany were among those he took to the field with on a weekly basis, but it was Toure who Lescott hailed as his best-ever teammate.
"Yaya, the best player I played with. His 2013/14 season I believe is one the best midfielder seasons, statistics-wise," he said.
"Especially now that the game is kind of dictated and judged upon stats. That season alone, 20 goals, 11 assists, but his pass accuracy for the season was 90%, which is ridiculous because he didn't play safe. He took risks.
"I think if that was now… he didn't even win Player of the Year. But (if it were) now, it's Ballon d'Or.
"He just had the ability to win a game. I was lucky enough to play with some of the greats of the game, but Yaya had the ability to affect the game in a capacity that, if he played well, you're going to win."
