Durban City Drop Points, Spurs Out Of Danger

University of Pretoria 1-1 Durban City

Motsepe Foundation Championship leaders Durban City drew 1-1 with the University of Pretoria on Sunday afternoon.

The visitors took the lead in the first half courtesy of a strike from Samkelo Maseko, before Tshepang Makara restored parity just before the halftime break.

City now sit five points above second-place Kruger United with six games left in the season.

Upington City 0-1 Hungry Lions

Hungry Lions bounced back from last week's defeat with a 1-0 victory away to Upington City.

The win takes Lions up to 11th spot on the table, while Upington sit three points above the drop zone in 13th spot.

Saturday, 5 April 

Baroka FC 3-2 JDR Stars

Baroka FC got back to winning ways in the Championship after defeating JDR Stars in a five-goal thriller.

Stars have slipped to fifth spot on the standings, while Baroka are in eighth.

Black Leopards 1-0 Venda Football Academy

Black Leopards have brought themselves into play-off contention with a 1-0 win over Venda Football Academy.

Namibia international Bethuel Muzeu scored the only goal of the game, as Leopards now sit four points behind the top three.

Milford 1-2 Kruger United

Kruger United reclaimed second spot on the Championship table with a 2-1 win away to Kruger United.

Bright Ndlovu bagged a second-half brace to seal maximum points for United, making four goals in the league this season.

Milford, meanwhile, have dropped to seventh spot on the standings.

Orbit College 1-0 Pretoria Callies

Orbit College got their promotion push back on track after defeating Pretoria Callies on Saturday afternoon.

The hosts got the game's only goal through Siyabulela Mabele.

The win took Orbit up to fourth spot, while Callies find themselves in 12th position.

Friday, 4 April 

Highbury FC 0-1 Casric Stars

Casric Stars kept their promotion hopes alive with a 1-0 win away to Highbury FC on Friday afternoon.

Malesela Chokoe got the all-important winner for the visitors in the 86th minute.

Cape Town Spurs 1-1 Leruma United

Cape Town Spurs battled from behind to secure a 1-1 draw against Leruma United on Friday evening.

Youngster Luuk Baartman rescued a point for Spurs with an equaliser in the 86th minute after Leruma took the lead earlier in the second half.

Ernst Middendorp's charges have moved up to 14th spot, one point abov the drop zone.
