Mamelodi Sundowns fan favourite, Teko Modise, is back in the thick of things.
Before Sunday's encounter against Moroka Swallows, the 30-year-old midfielder had last played against Polokwane City and was dropped for the games against Free State Stars and the University of Pretoria, with Pitso Mosimane preferring to start with Bongani Zungu.
However, the former Bafana Bafana international seems to have worked his way back into the team, with the Siya crew sources saying that his work rate has been impressive at training. He started against the Dube Birds as Sundowns won 2-1 to stay top of the table.
The source added, "He played very well in a recent friendly we played against Bloemfontein Celtic and fitted in very well with the attacking formation that the coach wanted us to use, even though he hadn't been part of recent league games. He is working hard and you can see he wants to keep his place in the team."
