Teboho Moloi Has Apologised For His Comments About Kaizer Chiefs

Chippa United head coach, Teboho Moloi, has apologised for comments that he made about Kaizer Chiefs following the Chilli Boys' defeat earlier this month.   Read: Khune - God Sent Me To Serve The People   The Amakhosi beat Moloi's Chippa 1-0 on November 5th, and the Orlando Pirates legend insinuated afterwards that officials favour the Glamour Boys, suggesting that it's been that way since his playing days in the late 80s and early 90s.   Chiefs won the game via a penalty that was converted by Bernard Parker, although there have been questions asked about whether the decision to award to spot-kick by the referee was correct.   Speaking after the game, he told SuperSport, "I'm not one to complain about referees or officiating. I'm a baby. I'm crawling. I'm still new in this field. So for me to complain about officiating is not right.   "I'm not going to complain. The only thing I'm going to say is that I remember in my playing days 1987-1992 when we lost against Kaizer Chiefs this is how we used to lose.    Click here to check out the PSL fixtures   "If I'm going to lose games in this way then I'm still learning. I expect to lose with the opposition really coming at me, coming with tactical plans, that I'll accept. But I have to accept because I grew up knowing that the only way Chiefs could beat me is through this way.   "It's part of the game, we grow up. This is what I want my team to learn. We have to take it even if it's a pill that is hard to swallow but take it like I'm taking it. There's nothing we can do."   However, he has since withdrawn his comments, saying that they were said in the heat of the moment. A statement in a press release today read, "I would like to withdraw the comments I made against Kaizer Chiefs in relation to my playing days (for Orlando Pirates between 1987-1992). The statement was made in the heat of the moment."
