Former Jomo Cosmos midfielder Phethego Maebela has still not found a club since being released by Ezenkosi.
The 27-year-old player was released by the National First Division side at the start of the season, alongside the likes of Aleni Lebyane, Tshidiso Tukane, Kylan More, Mhlonishwa Dlamini, Mduduzi Makwakwa and Rhulani Manzini. He was hoping to have found a club by the time the January transfer window closed, but luck seems to have eluded him.
Now the Mpumalanga-born Maebela, who has previously also played for University of Pretoria, says he is working hard in an effort to revive his career and get a club where he can once more express his talent.
"I'm still training with some guys from the location and I'm searching for a team. I have a lot to offer and all I need is just a chance. I've been trying and talking to some people, but eish, I've not been successful. I'm hopeful that something will eventually come up soon," he said.
