2013 AFCON Quarter-Final
Teams: Burkina Faso v Togo
Date: 3 February 2013
Venue: Mbombela Stadium
Burkina Faso and Togo will battle for the final semi-final spot of the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations when they meet at the Mbombela Stadium on Sunday.
Neither of the two sides were tipped to progress from the group stages at the start of the tournament. Burkina Faso, though, managed to dump out defending champions Zambia while also finishing ahead of Nigeria.
Togo, meanwhile, have made history by getting to the knockout stages for the first time as they beat Algeria and held Tunisia following their opening loss to Ivory Coast.
The Stallions suffered a major blow when they lost influential playmaker Alain Traore after he made a stunning start before picking up an injury against Zambia.
The Togolese will be relying on Tottenham Hotspur striker Emmanuel Adebayor to provide goals upfront as they seek progress to the final four.
Standard Bank Key Man: Emmanuel Adebayor. The former Arsenal and Real Madrid striker can be clinical on his day and will need to be at his best to power Togo through.
This is how they line up:
Burkina Faso: Daouda Diakite, Mohamed Koffi, Bakary Kone, Paul Koulibaly, Mady Panandetiguiri, Djakaridja Kone, Issoef Ouattara, Charles Kabore, Moumouni Dagano, Wilfried Sanou, Jonathan Pitroipa.
Togo: Kossi Agassa, Mamah Gaffar, Dare Nibombe, Vincent Bossou, Dakonam Djene, Serge Akakpo, Komlan Amewou, Alaixys Romao, Serge Gakpe, Floyd Ayite, Emmanuel Adebayor.
