Pitso Mosimane Has Spoken Ahead Of Mamelodi Sundowns' Absa Premiership Clash Against Free State Stars

Mamelodi Sundowns head coach, Pitso Mosimane has spoken about Brazilians' upcoming Absa Premiership fixture, which is crucial to keeping their title hopes alive.

Sundowns will host Free State Stars at the Loftus Versfeld Stadium this evening, where Ea Lla Koto will look to go out guns blazing as they try to narrow the gap between themselves and the Brazilians.

Sundowns are currently leading the log standings with a four-point advantage, however, will be wary of Stars this evening, as a win for Luc Eymael's side will take them to second place, just three points away from the number one spot.

Speaking to the media ahead of the game, Head Coach Mosimane has praised the Ea Lla Koto side for their position on the league standings and said that the Brazilians will approach this evening's encounter with respect, while also working hard to clinch all three points.

"We have two big games and two important games in four days time, one is a local derby that you know and the first one is Free State Stars, a difficult team, the position on the log says who they are," Mosimane told the media.

"Under normal circumstances, I was looking at the log, after 20, 21 games, who would have thought that Free State Stars could be where they are. I mean, it is not six, seven games it is 21 games.

"It is unbelievable. So, that really shows that its reality, it isn't what you can say about last season, that's where they are. Three months back when we received coach of the month awards, I made you aware that coach Luc (Eymael) has done exceptionally well and you need to respect his work, he has done very good work.

"We need to win the game, it is important for us to win the game, but it is not only about winning but how you win the game. We have the quality but we have to work hard. So, that is how we are going to approach it, respectful, but we need to win the game," he added.
