The boss of the Port Elizabeth club, Chippa Mpengesi, as well as the agent involved in the transaction, Lizwe Mthethwa, are threatening to take legal action against each other.
Mpengesi claims to have been 'robbed' of an amount of money in the region of R50 000 by Mthethwa, with an understanding at the time that the agent would bring him Tlolane to his club as a free agent.
The Siya crew is in the possession of communication between Mpengesi and Mthethwa discussing the proposed move for Tlolane, before the relationship between the two turned sour.
While Mthethwa had allegedly promised Chippa that Tlolane was a free agent, it turned out that the player has another year of his contract still to run with Rise and Shine. Chippa has confirmed to the Siya crew that he is opening a case of fraud against Mthethwa.
"We are opening a fraud case today (Friday)," said Mpengesi.
On his side, Mthethwa says he is in the process of suing Mpengesi for slander and defamation of character.
"I have never conned or scammed Chippa Mpengesi. Chippa owes me a lot of money from previous deals. (Regarding Tlolane) He (Chippa) enquired about my client and I told him that I can't work with him.
"I told him he needs to deposit money into my account before I could talk anything with him. There have been no documents submitted by me or anyone from my company to Chippa. My lawyer is working on a counter lawsuit for slander and defamation of character. We will be serving him with court papers," said Mthethwa.

Mthethwa confirmed to the Siya crew that he will be represented by Claudio Bollo, who represented former Bafana Bafana coach, Shakes Mashaba, in his unfair dismissal case against SAFA, in the matter against Chippa.
